Add Adnote to your browser
6 short steps, once. After that every call you join is written down and waiting for you the moment you hang up.
1. Download the folder
It arrives as a zip file. Unzip it and leave the folder somewhere you will not delete by accident — your Documents folder is fine.
2. Open your extensions page
In a new tab, type chrome://extensions and press enter. In Edge it is edge://extensions, in Brave brave://extensions.
Copy it and paste it into a new tab — browsers do not allow a website to open this page for you.
3. Turn on Developer mode
There is a switch in the top right. It only means the browser will accept an extension that did not come from a store — which is exactly what this is.
4. Click Load unpacked
A button appears on the left once Developer mode is on. Click it and choose the folder you unzipped.
5. Pin it to your toolbar
Click the jigsaw-piece icon at the top right of your browser, find Adnote, and click the pin beside it. Its icon then sits in your toolbar and turns green while a call is being written down — so you can see at a glance that it is working.
6. Connect your account
Open Adnote from your toolbar and click Connect. That is the last step — your next call is written down without you doing anything.
Updating later
Installed this way, Adnote does not update itself — Adnote tells you in Settings when a newer version is out. Updating takes two steps and never disconnects your account.
Download the folder again and unzip it over the old one, replacing the files.
Open your extensions page and click the refresh arrow on the Adnote card. That is it — your meetings and your connection are untouched.
